Some improv news. I'm still kind of on a sabbatical from improv. I'm performing this Saturday December 1 and in two weeks on Saturday, December 15, purchase tickets at this website www.nationalcomedy.com. For you Facebook users, visit the NCT Facebook page.
Best Live Comedy - Our theatre was just voted the Best Live Comedy show in San Diego. This is based on a viewer poll by the Channel 10 ABC Affiliate. We're very excited about this news. You have to see our show now.

- The Comedy Palace (tied)
Notice Number 4? That's our main improv competition. This is Theatersports San Diego and they are no longer. In fact their last show is this Friday. I've never seen their show, so I can't comment on how good they are, but if they are Theatersports, then I know they are a lot like Just Us. Which means they were OK but not great.
We now only have one more improv show in competition with us and they are the Hinges. I had some friends see them and they were not that impressed. If you go to their website, you'll see video of their show and you'll see that they are not very good. Which brings up an interesting point. If you're going to put video of your show on the internet, put up good material!!! I have hours of footage of NCT, but I only had maybe 4 scenes that was worthy putting on the net. In short, don't let everyone on the internet know you're not very good.
